Overview

Technical Services Administrator

Under direct supervision of the Sr. Dir Customer Operations, selecting from a variety of established procedures to accomplish duties, the Technical Services Administrator assists the Configuration Lab with coordination of projects, scheduling logistics, tracking and resolving technical difficulties, and generating reports for Configuration, Value Added Services and Depot. The Administrator monitors stock levels in the lab to ensure proper stock is available for projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Configuration Manager and Supervisors with the management of the project database queue for all incoming projects. This includes Configuration and Value Added Services (VAS).
    • Assists with the assigning of estimated time commitment (ETC) for projects
    • Provides ETC’s to Corp Service Team
    • Works with Corp Services team to release, move and hold orders
    • Works directly with Corp Services on the progress of all projects in configuration lab.
    • Monitors stock levels in the lab
    • Works with the team leads to insure proper stock is being brought into the lab
    • Tracks and assists with the resolution of technical difficulties and facilitates the communications with parties outside the Configuration department regarding these difficulties.
  • Handles various administrative duties for the Director in support of departmental operations.
    • Provides updated daily, weekly and monthly reports to the Director and associated managers and supervisors.
    • Assists the Director in documenting projects using tools such as Word and PowerPoint
    • Reviews the departmental email boxes to insure all requests are being answered/replied to in a timely manner
    • Assists the Refurbishment team on stock requests and project tracking
  • Utilizes measures and metrics to recommend process improvements within Client Services
  • Maintains current knowledge of the products and services offered to Connection workers
  • Contributes to the design and implementation of measurements that defien the throughput and qualifty of the teams work products
  • Develops, uses, validates and enhances standard operating procedures with an eye toward enabling self-help, self-service and automation
  • Authors, uses and monitors the effectiveness of knowledge articles that enhance incident resolution and problem management.
  • Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Degree Requirement: High School or equivalency

  • Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of the following skills:
    • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Strong Knowledge of corporate technology tools such as JD Edwards, PSN, Call Tracker
    • Knowledge of the configuration lab software CSC
    • Knowledge of report generation tools
  • Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials
  • Ability to assist with project scheduling and understanding lab workflow
  • Strong understanding of and working knowledge of the value added technology industry
  • Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to compose professional business communications via email, letter, and proposals.
  • Detail oriented with item by item focus with ability to proofread for accuracy
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization
  • Quick study with ability to master a situation or learn new things with minimum direction or training
  • A strong work ethic for continued improvement and technical education/knowledge.
  • An ability to deal with high pressure projects and deadlines.
