Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for an IT Systems Administrator in Fort Collins, CO. This is an onsite contract-to-hire position.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows & Linux servers
Manage and configure network switches, routers, and firewalls
Provide technical support for Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
Monitor and respond to IT security threats, implementing MFA, endpoint protection, and DLP
Ensure patch management for servers and software
Assist users with hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Handle onboarding and offboarding procedures
Maintain Active Directory in a multi-forest, hybrid environment
Configure and manage GPO settings and Microsoft Intune for device security
Oversee hardware and software lifecycle management
Provide round-the-clock support for critical IT issues
Collaborate with vendors and consultants to resolve technical challenges

Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Networking, or IT-related field
1-3 years of hands-on IT experience in system administration or IT support
Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Novell networks and migration projects.
Hands-on experience with firewalls, Microsoft Intune, and endpoint management.
Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
