Overview

One of our amazing non for profit healthcare clients in the Burlington, Vermont area is seeking a remote Jr. Software Developer on a direct hire basis. This is a full time role (M-F, and hours can be 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm, or 10am-7pm.) This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team of professionals for a wonderful industry focused on helping babies.

 

The salary range for this role is $60,000-$75,000 annually. (Salaried/Exempt)

 

The software developer’s role is to design, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle. The software developer will also analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist other developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications.
  • Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.
  • Work with End users and stakeholders to develop requirements.
  • Participate in Continuous improvement, Cross Training and Mentoring efforts.
  • Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
  • Ensure that applications conform to all applicable policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
  • Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or software engineering, and/or 1 year equivalent work experience.
  • Familiar with building APIs and websites in C# and ASP.NET
  • Familiar with building Front end applications in current ReactJS architectures.
  • Hands on experience working in integrated development environments, including Microsoft Visual Studio and WebStorm.
  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Experience designing user interfaces.
  • Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Flexible and adaptable in regard to learning and understanding new technologies.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
  • Highly logical.
  • Technically proficient.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.

Work Conditions

  • 40-hour work week, some overtime hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
  • Must work well in both an onsite and remote team environment and be flexible as workloads and priorities change.
