Working under direct supervision of the Distribution Supervisor, the Material Handling and Shipping Lead operates powered forklift trucks to locate all inbound products coming efficiently and accurately from the receiving department to physical locations in the facility. Additionally, the use of forklifts is necessary to perform the stock transfers inside the four walls of operation, transfer of completed Work Orders leaving the Configuration Lab, as well as the pulling of Work Orders going into the Configuration Lab and performing cycle counts on all products in the facility. The Lead works closely with management in the scheduling of work assignments, provides direction and support for the Material Handling team members daily. The Lead is responsible for covering specific administrative tasks in the absence of the supervisor, including submitting Cycle Count jobs for the team, validating, resolving variances, and providing the findings to the Inventory Control Team nightly. When required, the Lead sends out nightly status reports to the senior leadership team, leads projects that involve Item Identification changes or to reorganize warehouse locations. The Lead ensures work is printed and disbursed to the appropriate associates and moves associates based on demand. The Lead also communicates with Inventory Control to resolve inventory issues, and keeps a well maintained, updated account of the Inventory within the warehouse. The Lead works on order issues throughout the day including, but not limited to, duplicate serial numbers, serial number flag missing or incorrect, negative inventory, and missing product.
