Responsibilities

Working under direct supervision of the Manager, the Deal Registration Specialist consults on and registers customer sales opportunities with our vendor partners. The Specialist proactively follows up and escalates problems, as needed, and communicates about the deal registration process and status with our vendor partners and sales personnel. Maintains deal registration knowledge thru vendor trainings and shares that knowledge by training Account Managers.

 

Primary Job Duties

  • Manages the registration lifecycle of vendor deals for Sales, for example to lock in pricing, either through vendor’s web portal or as otherwise facilitated by the vendor. Lifecycle includes initial registration as well as any follow up processes required for deal closure.
  • Pre and Post registration, consults with Sales, technical resources and vendor resources on deal opportunities utilizing knowledge and relationships to coordinate, influence and to register the deal.
  • Follows up or escalates deal registration issues with the vendor partner and/or sales management, as necessary.
    • Proactively communicates deal registration expectations and deal statuses with sales personnel
  • Provides Deal Registration specific training to new Account Managers and refresher training to established Account Managers
  • Participates in deal registration vendor training as needed.
    • Helps communicate program changes to sales personnel.
  • Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required competencies:

  • Basic computer knowledge with ability to operate keyboard for data entry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with ability to create a document or simple spreadsheet.
  • Working knowledge of Sales systems; including CRM and ERP systems
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Communicating with Persons Outside Organization - Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, vendors, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships - Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Cooperation with others, displaying a pleasant, good-natured, and cooperative demeanor.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to focus on specific facts or elements in order to complete work tasks thoroughly.
  • Initiative to take on additional responsibilities and challenges.
