Working under the general supervision of the Salesforce Practice Leader, the Salesforce Principal Developer plays a key role in designing and delivering scalable Salesforce solutions across the enterprise. The responsibilities include owning architecture and platform design decisions, developing robust solutions aligned with best practices, and mentoring Salesforce team members to ensure high quality deliverables. The Salesforce Principal Developer also collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The role combines strategic thinking with hands on development to optimize Connection’s Salesforce implementation and deliver value to the organization.
Primary Job Duties
• Leads platform architecture and solution design in enterprise Sales Cloud implementation.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and implement integrations with other business systems that align with Salesforce best practices and support business goals.
• Serves as a trusted senior technical advisor, guiding business stakeholders and technical teams in Salesforce best practices.
• Designs and implements complex flows using Salesforce platform tools.
• Participates in sprint planning and architectural governance processes to ensure quality and consistency in solution delivery.
• Stays current with Salesforce releases and assesses opportunities to incorporate new features and capabilities into the platform.
• Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.
Required competencies:
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration and development, with deep knowledge of platform architecture and best practices.
• Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
• Strong experience in Salesforce configuration, Flow, data modeling, enterprise system integrations, and security best practices.
• Strong understanding of CRM processes within Sales organizations
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively work across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders in a large enterprise environment.
