Overview

Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a ServiceNow Technical Architect to define and lead the technical architecture of the ServiceNow platform. This role ensures the platform remains scalable, secure, and maintainable while supporting business growth. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into resilient, future-ready solutions aligned with enterprise standards and ServiceNow best practices.

 

As the ServiceNow thought leader, you will provide deep expertise across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, FSM, SPM, HRSD, HAM, SAM, and SecOps to maximize platform value and adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and evolve scalable, secure, and high-performing ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and platform best practices.
  • Define and document platform architecture, data models, integration patterns, and technical guardrails for both technical and business audiences.
  • Lead technical design sessions and guide implementation of new modules, enhancements, and integrations with a focus on maintainability and reuse.
  • Provide hands-on architectural guidance and mentorship to developers, administrators, and configuration specialists.
  • Establish and enforce platform standards, smart customization strategies, and environment governance.
  • Oversee platform health, including performance, security, upgrade readiness, and continuous optimization.
  • Design and oversee integrations using MID Server, REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and related technologies.
  • Ensure CMDB and foundation data accuracy, compliance with CSDM, and effective data migration and reconciliation strategies.
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to deliver solutions that drive measurable business value.
  • Manage and optimize ServiceNow licensing to ensure compliance and cost-effective adoption.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
  • 7–10+ years of ServiceNow experience across architecture, development, and multiple modules.
  • Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and upgrade-ready ServiceNow solutions.
  • Strong experience leading technical design efforts and mentoring technical teams.
  • Deep expertise in integrations, CMDB/CSDM, and platform governance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Preferred certifications: ServiceNow CSA, CIS, CTA, and ITIL v4 Foundation.
